For the past several days, Sean O'Rourke has been icing it up in downtown Lexington.
People can visit the village to see the fruits of his labor this weekend during the Lexington on Ice festival. Twenty-five ice sculptures will be on display.
The festival started Friday and continues through Sunday, but the major events are today.
O'Rourke is expected to start carving at 9 a.m. beneath a large tent east of the traffic light at Lakeshore Road and Huron Avenue. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, you can check out the pizza cook-off. Nine pizza makers will compete, and everyone gets a chance to be a judge -- just turn over $5 and get all the pizza you can sample.
The festival includes a sledding area at Patrick Tierney
Park and snow
O'Rourke , 40, of Lexington is the executive chef at Uri's Waterfront Dining in Port Sanilac.
