The Barn Theatre
The Barn puts on shows every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights throughout the summer.  Doors open at 7:30 pm, shows start at 8:00 pm.
 
Tickets for the Barn can be purchased at the box office Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.  Seat prices are $9 and $10.  Call 810-622-9114 or www.barntheatre.net for more information.

Model citizen Barney Cashman finally decides to join the sexual revolution at the ripe age of 47. Hilarity ensues as Barney, having no experience with adultery, tries to make a move on a flaunting sexpot who likes cigarettes, whiskey and other peoples' husbands. Soon he tries his luck with a kooky actress friend, and even his wife's best friend; the staunch moralist who spots sin around every corner! A dry cleaner from Ohio visits his son Norman in New York after his with ran out him. Instead of the solace he is expecting, he finds more turmoil when he discovers his son is living with Garson, his male partner. The irascible and stubborn father struggles comically with his denial of Norman's orientation, and even hires a 'lady of the night' to try to set his son straight.                                                  Contains Adult Content.

Local hot stuff, Riptide, enters a surf contest to save the Surf Shop from the snobbish developers from the ritzy Cove. But trouble brews when the crowd from the cove tries to sabotage Riptide. Now it's up to Midge to save the day! Wax up your surfboards, get out your beach blankets and catch the wave of this swinging 1960's surf musical that takes us back to a simpler time when life was keen, the music was cool and the world was about to change. Gnarly, dudes! 

The Foreigner

British demolition expert 'Froggy' brings his pathologically shy pal Charlie to the fishing lodge. Froggy tries to pass off Charlie's silence, saying that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and doesn't know a word of English. Charlie soon overhears more than he should- the evil plans of a sinister, two-faced minister and his redneck associate, the fact that the minister's fiancée is pregnant, and other devastating secrets! Will Charlie be able to find his tongue before things get terribly out of hand?                                            Contains Adult Content.

Raise the Rafters

Raise the Rafters returns once again as a showcase of various talents, from music, poetry, belly dancing, karate, comedy to anything (who knows what your talents might be). The audience decides the winners each night, so come on down and be a star or simply choose one. Two inexperienced police officers, Billie and Eric, try to make it big by uncovering a huge embezzlement conspiracy between the mayor and the town accountant. But things go awry when Eric and the accountant spend the night together, the mafia gets involved, the mayor's wife arrives at the hotel, and a mysterious Scottish hitman enters the scene. Black River Blue Grass Boys

We are honored to continue our summer tradition here at the Barn, raising the roof every July with the sounds of the Black River Blue Grass Boys in concert. The boys produce some of the best bluegrass and traditional roots music you have ever heard. The sweet, high, lonesome sound of their harmonies and the hottest finger picking make for an enjoyable night of fun for the entire family. So come on down while they fiddle around..
