Deanna opened the meeting at 2:30 by introducing Anita Ruffini from Parks and Recreation who came to

request a reduced accommodations rate for participants in the Re-inactment weekend June 14 and 15.

The request will be considered and the board will be in touch with Anita.

The board is seeking someone to accept the chairmanship of the 4th of July parade.  Judy Gaw is willing to

work with a new chairperson to help them get acquainted with the various responsibilities of the job.

Carol Watson distributed the treasurer’s report for January 1, 2008 thru February 13, 2008.

Combined assets equal $20,589.00

Income--------------------$13,199.00

Expenses------------------$ 2,920.00

The Cros-Lex High School Advanced Art Class LBA logo entries were viewed and voted on.  The students

did a great job, which made our job a difficult one.  We were able to narrow the entries down to 2.

Deanna presented Lexington Visitor Guide ads for the 2008 publication.  Her work once again received well earned accolades.

Phil circulated Midwest Watercross information.  Board members will review information and attend a Watercross event this summer at Harbor Beach so that we can make a more informed decision

on how the LBA will proceed on this event.

The Board accepted Betty Harvey’s invitation to have the March meeting at her business.  The Wednesday, March 12th Board meeting  will be held at Fairwinds Cottage,  5111 S. Lakeshore Rd. (3/4 mile north of stop light).

Meeting adjourned at 4:30 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Betty Harvey, Secretary
