Lexington Business Association

 Board Meeting

 Wednesday, July 9, 2008

Members Present: Jim Gresock, Carol Watson, Deanna Werthman, Marilyn Light, Peggy Stencel, Phil Essenmacher, Marty O’Brien and Betty Harvey

Members Absent: None

President Jim Gresock open the meeting at 2:35 p.m.

Jim lead a discussion on LBA expenses.  Members of the LBA will attend this evenings DDA meeting.  The LBA is looking for monetary support toward 4th of July expenses.

Carol made a motion to turn the 4th of July parade over to the village. Peggy seconded the motion. The board was unanimously in favor.

Carol presented the monthly treasurers report. Our current balance is $10,056.70.  Expenses exceed income for 4th of July.

Jim gave a report on the Stanley Cup event.  It was a big privilege to have the Stanley Cup in Lexington.  Generally the Cup isn’t brought to a city of less than a population of 100,000.

Phill presented information on the MotoCross event in Harbor Beach.  He will attend the event and report at the August meeting.

Betty shared information on the Michigan Festivals & Events Association.  The board is considering joining with them to be on their website and in their 2009 brochure.  The price is competitive and the exposure very good.

Meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.

Repectfully submitted,

Betty Harvey, Secretary
